As of July 18, 2011, the Platt Branch Library will be open the following hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Saturday - 10:00 am - 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday & Thursday - 12:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Friday - 1:30 pm - 5:30 p.m.

The Used Bookstore is open the same days and hours except that it closes1/2 hour before the library closes.

On display above the magazine racks in the library are art pieces in various media that have been donated to the Friends.  In the plastic box are portfolios of pictures.  All of these are for sale with proceeds to be used to purchase more books and materials in the library.  Prices range from $2.00 to $12.00 for these lovely pictures.  Library policy prohibits putting a price on the pictures in the library but a price list with biographical material on the artists is available in the Used Bookstore.
